All visits need to be booked in with us through our website. Weekends and school holidays get very busy so need to be booked well in advance.
Yes anyone entering our site needs to have a valid ticket. To be a Spectator for the Alpaca walking session it is £16. We will give you your own bag of treats so you can get involved with the feeding of the animals and you can accompany us on the Alpaca walk with your group.
Spectators don't need to join us on the actual walk, they can join us for the meet and greet part of the session if that suits them better.
For more info send us a message.
Max 2 Spectators per group.
You can book in with your valid gift voucher through our booking system.
Click on the book now button on our website.
Then click on the redeem a voucher button at the start of the booking system.
Vouchers need to be inputted at the start, multiple vouchers can be added one at a time.
Your voucher must be redeemed for an activity that takes place before the vouchers Expiry Date.
We usually go ahead with bookings in the rain, unless it's really bad weather. If the weather forecast is looking really bad we usually send out a text message to all bookings and discuss our options.
In the winter months sensible footwear is a must. Wellies or walking boots.
In the Summer our ground is good but your nice new white trainers might not stay white, it depends if it's been raining recently.
Alpacas are herd animals and won't leave their herd without a friend with them, so a minimum of 2 alpacas is required for a walk to go ahead.
If another group has already booked out 2 alpacas then you would be OK just taking a single alpaca.
If the booking system shows red writing about 2 alpacas, you are the first to book onto that slot. We can override this, you will need to message us.
If no one else books on or they don't show up on the day we wouldn't be able to go ahead with the walk with a single alpaca.
Yes, we currently have 2 Llamas that can come out on the walk. They often come out for our experiences but these are for adults only. Same price for an Alpaca or Llama.
When booking in with us you could request a Llama in the 'Notes' section.
If they are already booked our we will let you know.
You will see both Alpacas and Llamas when you visit us for any of our experiences.
The booking system holds your places so that tickets don't get double booked, when you press your browsers back button and you look again this is classed as a new order.
Use the back button on the booking page (not your browser).
The booking system will clear an unfinished order after 20 minutes and make those spaces available again.
Or send me a message and if I'm able to, I can clear the system manually for you to try again.
A child needs to be at least 6 years old to joint lead an Alpaca with an adult.
A younger child can still come along but would need to be looked after by an adult spectator (£16)
The walk lasts around 30 minutes so the child would need to be able to manage this without holding up the group or may need to be carried by the adult.
The Meet and Greet session may be a better option as they are suitable for all ages.
We only allow up to 5 children on each Alpaca Walking session, our booking system is set up this way. If you get the red writing not allowing you to proceed with the booking there isn’t enough room, other children will already be booked in.
You could send us a message to check, we can see if we can do anything but it depends on ages and ability etc.
Unfortunately not, the Alpacas haven't been trained to walk alongside these yet. They can be spooked easily by things that are new to them.
A pram or wheelchair would be OK for the meet and greet as long as the ground isn't muddy.
I may be busy with customers or operating machinery, I'm also a carer for my dad so can't always answer.
Our mobile phone signal is poor at the Alpaca farm, so I apologise if I answer and we can't hear each other, I usually send a text back to you.
Please send me a text, WhatsApp or email, I'll get back to you ASAP.
Please send us an email with your booking reference and when you are booked in.
Please note we do require at least 3 days notice (72 hours) to be able to reschedule your booking. If you are giving us less notice we will do our upmost to fill your slot with another customer, if we fill your places we can reschedule you or give you a gift voucher code which will be valid for 9 months.
If we can't fill the slot we won't be able to reschedule or give you a voucher.
We do not issue refunds, the money we receive goes towards the care of our animals.
If you give us 3 days notice (72 hours) we can issue you with a gift voucher, this can also be gifted to another recipient of your choice. Vouchers are valid for 9 months.
Gift vouchers can be extended by a maximum of 6 months for a £15 admin fee.
Gift vouchers are only redeemable for our experiences i.e Alpaca Walking.
They cannot be used to purchase items from our shop.
No, Alpacas are naturally fearful of dogs, so they are not allowed on our site. We love dogs ourselves but we have to put the alpacas first.
They are used to our dog because they see her daily, but some are still scared and others try and chase our dog away, she has to be on her toes!
There are some nice walks locally if someone you know wanted to walk your dog whilst you visit us.
No sorry, we no longer allow food to be eaten on site.
After your experience with us you could maybe go to the beach to have a picnic.
It's not recommended, as with our experiences you will be up close with our animals, so there are naturally some risks with this type of activity.
If you would still like to visit please send us a message.
No, we usually stop doing any experiences during November, December and January. This is because the ground will be getting muddy and not enough daylight hours to get all our jobs done.
We increase the amount of sessions on our booking system as the weather improves and also for any holidays.
No
No we don't sorry!
